Important before buying: Lightning Funded is the only Tradeify route with no resets available. If the account breaches, you must buy a full new one. If you are still calibrating your strategy, the Growth plan costs a fraction and does allow cheap resets. The Tradeify pricing page lists all three plans.
Direct answer
What Tradeify Lightning Funded is
Lightning Funded is instant funding: a simulated funded account you buy without going through any evaluation. Tradeify officially describes it as an account that allows traders to skip the typical evaluation phases and begin trading simulated funds immediately, with the potential to start earning profits toward their payout from day one.
In practice that means three things: there is no challenge, no evaluation profit target and no minimum trading day count before requesting your first withdrawal. You can request a payout after any number of sessions provided you meet the cycle profit goal and the consistency rule.
What does exist: a progressive consistency rule (20% for the first payout, 25% for the second and 30% thereafter), per-cycle profit goals, and one limitation worth understanding before paying — Lightning Funded has no resets. If you would rather have a cheap evaluation with a safety net, compare with the Growth plan.
How it works
How a Lightning Funded account works
You buy the account size, pick your broker at checkout (Tradovate, Rithmic or WealthCharts, all three at the same price) and start trading a simulated funded account. The profit split is 90% to the trader, the same as Select and Growth.
To get paid you need to meet two conditions: the cycle profit goal and the consistency rule in force. Once met, the payout is requested instantly from the dashboard. When the status changes to APPROVED the funds leave the account immediately and payment is issued within 24 hours.
Goals reset after each payout: leftover profit does not carry over to the next cycle, and you must earn fresh profit from new trades. Consistency also steps up after each withdrawal. Tradeify’s own example: on a 150K account, after the first payout the goal becomes $4,500 and consistency moves to 25%, meaning your best single day cannot exceed $1,125.

Drawdown
The end-of-day drawdown nuance
Lightning Funded’s trailing max drawdown is calculated on the balance at session close. Intraday swings do not move the level: if a trade reaches +$2,000 during the day but the session closes at +$400, the floor rises by $400 only.
The critical nuance, which Tradeify’s official documentation spells out: the level is still enforced in real time. If your net liquidation value touches it at any moment during the day, the account fails immediately, even if you recover before the close. The floor moves at end of day, but it applies tick by tick.
Payout
Profit goals and withdrawal caps
Profit goals and withdrawal caps reset after each payout. The goal is what you must earn to unlock the request; the cap is the most you can withdraw on that request. They are not the same thing, and confusing them is the most common mistake with this account.
A concrete example: on a 150K account you need $9,000 in profit to unlock the first payout, but that request is capped at $3,000. The rest stays in the account for future cycles. The minimum payout is $1,000; on the 25K the amount is fixed at $1,000, which is both minimum and maximum.
Fit
Who Lightning Funded suits (and who it does not)
It suits you if
- You already have proven results and do not want to spend time on an evaluation.
- You want to start generating payouts from day one, with no minimum trading days.
- The account cost does not strain your budget and you value immediacy.
- You want end-of-day drawdown with no intraday trailing, as across the rest of Tradeify’s catalogue.
It does not suit you if
- You are still calibrating your strategy: with no resets, every mistake costs a full new account.
- Your budget is tight — Growth costs a fraction and allows cheap resets.
- You expect to withdraw large amounts in the first cycles: the per-request caps are strict.
- You want a cash-out stage with no consistency rule: that is Select, which removes it once funded.
Comparison
Tradeify Lightning Funded against the other two plans
Tradeify runs three routes and all three share end-of-day drawdown, a 90% profit split and one-time pricing with no activation fee. What changes is where the friction sits: in pass speed, in the daily limit, or in the cash-out stage.

Frequently asked questions about Tradeify Lightning Funded
What is Tradeify Lightning Funded?
It is Tradeify’s instant funding account: it skips the evaluation entirely. The official documentation defines it as an account that allows traders to skip the typical evaluation phases and begin trading simulated funds immediately. There is no evaluation profit target and no minimum trading day count before the first payout.
Does Lightning Funded have an evaluation?
No. It is the only Tradeify route with no evaluation phase: you buy the account and trade funded from the very start. Select and Growth are single-step evaluations you must pass before reaching the funded account.
What consistency rule does Lightning Funded have?
A progressive rule: 20% for the first payout, 25% for the second and 30% for all subsequent payouts. It steps up after each withdrawal and always applies — unlike Select, which removes consistency once funded.
Does Lightning Funded allow resets?
No. It is the only Tradeify route with no resets available: if the account breaches you must buy a full new one. Select and Growth do allow resets, up to 10 per evaluation within a 30-day period.
How much can you withdraw on Lightning Funded?
Less than the profit goal suggests, because every request is capped. Payouts 1 to 3 are capped at $1,000, $2,000, $2,500 and $3,000 by size, and from the fourth they rise to $1,000, $2,500, $3,000 and $3,500. On the 25K the amount is fixed at $1,000, which is both the minimum and the maximum.
What is the profit goal to get paid?
For the first payout: $1,500 on the 25K, $3,000 on the 50K, $6,000 on the 100K and $9,000 on the 150K. From the second onwards it drops to $1,000, $2,000, $3,500 and $4,500. The goal resets after each payout and leftover profit does not carry over to the next cycle.
How fast are Lightning Funded payouts?
The payout is requested instantly from the dashboard once consistency and the profit goal are met. When the status changes to APPROVED the funds leave the account immediately and payment is issued within 24 hours. Requests outside business hours (Mon-Fri, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST, and federal holidays) may take up to 72 hours.
Does Lightning Funded have a daily loss limit?
It depends on the size. The 25K account has no daily limit. The 50K, 100K and 150K do: $1,250, $2,500 and $3,000 respectively, as a soft breach. The end-of-day trailing max drawdown is $1,000, $2,000, $4,000 and $5,250 by size.
