MyFundedFutures Builder plan: $1.5K vs $2K max loss
The Builder plan is MyFundedFutures' cheapest entry and the only one with a defined route to a live account: 5 approved sim payouts and you move to real capital. On the 50K you choose between $1.5K and $2K max loss, and that choice changes the price, your loss room and how fast the first payout arrives.

The decision
Builder $1.5K vs $2K max loss: which one to pick
The $1.5K variant is the better choice for most traders. It costs less and unlocks the first payout with $500 less accumulated profit. Paying more for the $2K only makes sense if you genuinely need that extra loss room.
The common mistake is assuming a higher max loss is always better. It is not, because on Builder the payout buffer is tied to the max loss: the buffer is always the max loss plus $100. More loss room also means more profit before you can cash out.

| Max loss | $1,500 | $2,000 |
| Starting minimum balance | $48,500 | $48,000 |
| Payout buffer | $1,600 | $2,100 |

Pick $1.5K max loss if
- Your worst drawdown from the equity high stays comfortably under $1,200 on a bad run.
- You want the first payout as early as possible: you need $2,100 in profit instead of $2,600.
- You trade 1 or 2 minis, or micros, and do not use wide stops.
- Entry price matters: it is the cheapest of the three Builder options on the 50K.
Pick $2K max loss if
- You trade 3 or 4 minis at once and one trade going against you can approach $1,500.
- You use wide stops or strategies that need to sit through large retracements before resolving.
- You have already blown a $1.5K Builder account by running out of room, not by lack of strategy.
- You would rather pay more up front and wait $500 more in profit in exchange for less breach risk.
Both variants share the same profit target, the same contract limit and the same $1,000 daily loss limit. The only real difference is the loss room / payout buffer pair, plus the price.
The plan
What the MyFundedFutures Builder plan is
The Builder plan is a single-step evaluation with the lowest minimum trading requirement at MFFU: 1 day. You reach the profit target, log that day and move to a sim funded account. There is no activation fee.
What defines Builder is the explicit route to real capital: after the fifth approved sim payout, the account is promoted to live. No other MyFundedFutures plan publishes a fixed number of payouts as the promotion condition.
The entry price is also the lowest at the firm, and that is the main reason most traders land on Builder. The trade-off is an 80% profit split, a $1,000 daily loss limit on the 50K accounts and a $2,000 cap per payout cycle.

News trading is allowed on the Builder plan. All positions must be closed before the end of the session; anything left open is closed by the platform. The account is closed for inactivity after 7 calendar days without a trade.
Rules
Builder drawdown and daily loss limit
The Builder plan uses an EOD trailing max loss at every stage. The limit only moves up when the account closes the day at a new equity high and never moves down. Open equity losses count when the breach is determined at session close.
The trailing stops permanently once it reaches $100 above the starting balance. On a 50K account that means the max loss freezes when the account hits $50,100; from that point it behaves as a fixed floor and no longer follows you.
On top of the max loss, the 50K accounts carry a $1,000 daily loss limit. Hitting it does not blow the account: it triggers a soft pause that keeps you out of the market for the rest of the day. This limit is identical on both max loss variants and also applies on the live account. The Builder 25K has no daily loss limit.
To compare this model against other plans and firms, the static vs trailing vs EOD drawdown guide explains the differences with examples, and the drawdown calculator lets you simulate your own case.
Rules
Builder plan consistency rule
The Builder plan has no consistency rule during the evaluation. You can clear the profit target in a single day if your trading allows it.
The 50% rule shows up at payout request: your largest profit day in a cycle cannot exceed half of that cycle's total profit, and it is calculated at the moment you request. You also need a minimum of 2 qualifying days per payout cycle. There is no consistency rule on the live account.
This flips the order compared with Rapid, Pro and Flex, where the 50% applies in the evaluation and disappears once funded. If you are coming from another MFFU plan, this is the point worth checking before you buy. You can work out the split you need with the consistency rule calculator.
Payouts
Builder payouts and the route to a live account
Payout frequency is every 48 hours in the sim funded stage. The first withdrawal unlocks once you clear the plan's buffer and hold $500 of net profit above it (or $250 on the Builder 25K).
Each cycle is capped: $2,000 per payout on the 50K accounts and $1,000 on the 25K. The split is 80% to the trader and 20% to MyFundedFutures at every stage.
After the fifth approved payout in sim funded, the account is promoted to live. On a live account payouts become daily, the 80/20 split stays, and the $1,000 daily loss limit still applies. Breaching a live account triggers a 21-day period during which you cannot trade sim funded accounts or buy new evaluations.

Fit
Who the Builder plan is for (and who it is not for)
It fits you if
- You want the lowest entry price at MyFundedFutures.
- You care about a clear route to real capital: 5 approved payouts and you move to live.
- You can trade comfortably inside a $1,000 daily loss limit on the 50K.
- You prefer no consistency rule during the evaluation and a single minimum trading day.
It does not fit you if
- You need to withdraw every day: the cycle is 48 hours and payouts are capped at $2,000. The Rapid plan pays every 24 hours instead.
- An 80% profit split feels low next to Rapid's 90%.
- Your results are usually lopsided across days: the 50% rule at payout time would force you to spread the profit.
- You want 100K or 150K accounts, which Builder does not offer.
Comparison
Builder against the other MyFundedFutures plans
Builder is the cheapest of the four MFFU families and the only one with a fixed number of payouts as the condition for moving to a live account.
| Plan | Profit split | Payout | Daily loss limit | Key difference |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Builder | 80% | Every 48 h | $1,000 on 50K | Cheapest entry and a defined route to a live account. |

MyFundedFutures Builder plan FAQ
What is the difference between the $1.5K and $2K max loss Builder?
The $1.5K variant gives you $500 less loss room, but it is cheaper and its payout buffer is $500 lower ($1,600 vs $2,100), so the first withdrawal arrives sooner. Every other rule is identical.
Which Builder should you pick, $1.5K or $2K max loss?
The $1.5K fits most traders: it costs less and unlocks the first payout with $500 less profit, as long as your worst drawdown from the equity high stays under about $1,200. The $2K fits if you need extra room for wide stops or several minis at once.
What daily loss limit does the Builder plan have?
$1,000 on the 50K accounts, with a soft pause when you hit it, and it is identical on both the $1.5K and $2K max loss variants. The Builder 25K has no daily loss limit.
How often does the MyFundedFutures Builder plan pay?
Every 48 hours in the sim funded stage, with a maximum of 5 payouts before moving to a live account. On the live account payouts become daily.
Does the Builder plan have a consistency rule?
Not during the evaluation. The 50% rule applies at payout request: your largest profit day in a cycle cannot exceed half the total profit of that cycle. There is no consistency rule on the live account.
What drawdown type does the Builder plan use?
EOD trailing: the max loss only moves up when the account closes the day at a new high and never moves down. It stops trailing once it reaches $100 above the starting balance.
How much does the MyFundedFutures Builder plan cost?
Builder 25K is the cheapest size of the plan. The price table on this page lists all three options (25K, 50K with $1.5K max loss and 50K with $2K) with their list price and final price; confirm the exact amount at the MyFundedFutures checkout.
